Degenerates: Voices for Peace is an anthology of poetry made to spark the tough conversations; made to open up ideas about reoccurring and troubling issues going on among us all. We feature works of several topics such as Bullying, Domestic Violence, War, Sexuality, Free Speech and much more. These artists have come together to share and shed some insight on the current state of the world and where we all may be headed. We present ourselves to you, illustrious readers, and hope that our words leave something with you. Degenerates: Voices for Peace is published through Weasel Press, an indie publisher seeking to publish the best literature in an already hectic world. The anthology features several amazing and enthusiatic poets and artists. Gary Beck has spent most of his adult life as a theater director and worked as an art dealer when he couldn't earn a living in the theater. He has also been a tennis pro, a ditch digger and a salvage diver. His original plays and translations of Moliere, Aristophanes and Sophocles have been produced Off Broadway. His poetry, fiction and essays have appeared in hundreds of literary magazines and his published books include 28 poetry collections, 11 novels, 3 short story collections, 1 collection of essays and 2 books of plays. David S. Pointer grew up in Kansas City and Clinton, Missouri. He has recent work in Bukowski: An Anthology of Poetry & Prose About Charles Bukowski [Silver Birch Press], as well as in volumes V and VI of The Southern Poetry Anthology series. His latest chapbook, Bookmobile, was published in 2015 by Crisis Chronicles Press. He currently resides in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, with his two daughters.

Meggie Royer is a Midwestern writer, domestic violence advocate, and the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Persephone’s Daughters, a literary and arts journal for abuse survivors. She has won numerous awards for her work and has been nominated several times for the Pushcart Prize. She thinks there is nothing better in this world than a finished poem. Royer is the author of the viral 2015 poem, "The Morning After I Killed Myself," which has since been shared nearly 7 million times and has been the inspiration for hundreds of additional poems, short films, and art projects by other artists.

Kevin Heaton lives and writes in Yucca Valley, Ca. His work has appeared in dozens of print and online journals including: Guernica, Beloit Poetry Journal, Rattle, The Adroit Journal, and Raleigh Review, (search: Kevin Heaton Poems) and has been selected as Best of the net. He is a three-time Pushcart Prize nominee. In 2019, Kevin became hopelessly lost in the California Hi-Desert and lived to write about it. In 2022, he released his personal memoir of that experience entitled: "Where's Chuckawalla Bill's Cabin?" More recently, in 2025, he released his second memoir entitled: "OPAL: Spirit of a Woman."
