Gigi had an extraordinary life." Bill Decker, The Lafayette Sunday Advertiser About the Author: Dennis wishes he would have jumped on the literary merry-go-round years ago; however, he thinks he needed many years to accumulate the wisdom, humor, and insight to be able to find his writer’s voice. Currently, he has published his debut novel, "Mademoiselle Gigi," and he is writing the sequel, "Bonjour Gigi." Since 2006, he has written three full length plays which have been produced at the Cité des Arts Theater in Lafayette, Louisiana. His play Chez Gisèle won as a finalist in the 2011 New Orleans Saints and Sinners Theater Festival and opened the inaugural Acadiana PRIDE Festival for a three week run in March-April 2014. His short stories have been published in Greywolfe Publishing’s Legends, The Southwest Review, Deep South Magazine, and he will premier his new stage play, "Big Daddy’s Last Dance" at the Cité des Arts Theater in 2015. Dennis best conveys his feelings about writing by quoting Somerset Maugham, “If you can tell stories, create characters, devise incidents, and have sincerity and passion, it doesn’t matter a damn how you write.”
