Derek Gordanier was born in Kingston, Ontario and raised in the nearby town of Gananoque. A graduate of Durham College's Print Journalism program, Derek is a former newspaper reporter and editor who worked for weekly and daily publications in Eastern Ontario. He has also worked in the Parliament of Canada. 'Undermarch' is his first novel. He lives in the village of Spencerville, south of the City of Ottawa.
