A witch is defined as someone with supernatural or magical powers, possibly used with malicious intent, and I qualify under these specifications. Another ability attributed to witches is predicting the future through various divinatory methods, also a talent I possess (Tarot and palmistry.) Some witches were rumored to raise the dead, which I definitely cannot do. I am, however, able to speak with their spirits during seances, Ouija board sessions, and the occasional personal visitation. Make objects move with my mind? Sometimes, when I’m really angry. That being said, it took me years to consider myself a witch. During the pandemic, I had time to look back and reflect on when exactly my witch-hood began. The following is a series of diary entries revisiting my formative occult encounters which led to my self-appointed title. My reminiscences may be of interest to those who know or suspect that they, too, are like me. My story is sometimes sweet but also dark, and I fervently hope that one of my experiences in particular has never been endured by any other woman. I fear, though, that I was not the first and won’t be the last victim of that brand of heinous evil. Please know this book is not a grimoire or a how-to, just the chronicle of my strange, paranormal life.
