
DiMari Bailey studied Russian, Norwegian, History, and Philosophy in university. After completing her studies, she spent many years in Oslo, Norway working in a bookstore, then as buyer for a chain of bookstores and finally went on to work as an editor for a small press. She also worked as a translator and taught Norwegian as a second language to immigrant children, working closely with children and parents from Vietnam, Chile, and Turkey. Since returning to the United States, she earned a Master's in Teaching and has worked in various capacities in the education field. The Little Brown Animal is the first story in a series called Tales of the Deep Forest. Next up is The Golden Griffin.
