It started out as a simple but unpleasant mission—recover bodies from a plane crash that had happened a year earlier. As usual, though, things did not go as planned. The plane crash was in the Boi Loi Woods, a haven for the enemy, on an uncharted island in the Saigon River, so they would need a bridge-launching vehicle.
