Socialization. A fated mate. Everything she didn’t want. Fated Mates was a topic Jupiter heard about growing up, but never expected to find hers. As a Necromancer, she didn’t exactly spend a lot of time with the living. Working in Mercy Hospital in Moonlight, Jupiter only engaged in casual conversation if she absolutely had to. Then she met him. A Fated Mate was never part of her plan. That required having to socialize. She took every measure that she could to not have to deal with people more than she had to by accepting the position inside of the morgue. Only the Fates don’t care. Not: trying to make a relationship work, getting the hang of “feelings”, understanding life without magic and a goddess, and avoiding a jealous ex who is hellbent on convincing her they belong together. To top it all off, she’s unable to shift out of her demon form. Family secrets are beginning to bubble to the surface, making her question everything she thought she knew. Unraveling them, however, is easier said than done when they were obviously buried for a reason.
