Justin Parody is a maintenance man at the Rodeway Inn in Denver, Colorado. While picking up garbage, he meets Anna Lightner, a woman who has decided to stop for the night to sleep, though she hasn't any money, and couldn't afford a room. Justin offers her breakfast, and the kindness goes a long way, because in the seconds that follow, Anna proposes the impossible: "How would you like to come with me, Justin Parody?" Logic, of course, tells him she must be crazy, but ironically, another part of him has been dying to get away, and Anna just happens to remind him of one his favorite poems. Coincidence?
Leaving reason behind, Justin accepts, and off they go. Only things aren't what they seem. The world is strangely different, filled with characters who don't belong on Earth. After witnessing the kidnapping of a child, Anna and Justin realize there is more at stake then just a child's life. It is Divinity, the Child of Light, and she is at war with the Dragon.
With colorful characters to help them along their way, Justin and Anna venture into different lands, different worlds, and discover things about themselves they could have never possibly imagined. But it's where the journey leads them that is stranger still...
Worlds Away is an urban fantasy adventure, brimming with light, imagination, and wonder. There is love aplenty, and discoveries deep within. It is a strange trip into other worlds, but not so different from our own.
