I read like you breathe and after nearly a lifetime of inhaling books, it is time for me to write a few. I'm a native Texan, but have lived in Washington, D.C. where I worked for a very influential lobbyist. then I went to Boston for four years, returning to Texas after that. We try to spend the summers in Maine. I had two successful careers as a pediatrician and a television health reporter (and was taking writing classes because I was bored) when systemic lupus rather rudely ended both my careers. It sent me into the half-lit world of the chronically ill. I can't dance and I sure can't sing, but I can write. It's time for me to put the books I've been writing in my head onto paper. A portion of my sales goes to UNICEF, the United Nations charity for children.
