D.J. Belt was born in Winnipeg, Canada and has lived in North America, Hawaii, Japan and Europe, twice crossing the Pacific Ocean by ship before the age of ten. She is a lifelong and avid reader of history and the author of one published novel and several very popular online stories. D.J. Belt is the Royal Academy of Bards 2012 Hall of Fame Author.
