D. L. Eagan is an award-winning author under the name Denise Eagan. Traditionally and indie published in romance, she recently made the move into the dystopian genre after reading several wonderful ya dystopian novels. The daughter of a science fiction-loving physicist, and a sociologist, the subgenre seemed a perfect fit for her. She decided, however, to explore the genre with an adult female protagonist, and added a dash of romance. The PostPlague Trilogy was the result. It touches upon some of Eagan’s “hot buttons” such as the political football that was Ebola in 2014, fear of and fascination with religious-based governments, Myers-Briggs testing, and sociopathic but charming, autocratic leaders. The first book, The Liars started with the question: "What if the only person who can stop the tyranny of a brutal dystopian dictator is the woman who married him?" An empty-nester of 2 adult children, when Eagan is not writing or reading, she’s either pursuing her passion for history, plotting with her husband, or arguing with him over science fiction movies or romantic comedies. He usually wins.
