DNA and social media postings will determine who will survive, in this science fiction techno-thriller. Alex Cave, an Ex-CIA operative now geophysics consultant for NASA at Area 51, meets an archaeologist named Mya Austin, who tells him about a prophecy found in an ancient cave drawing belonging to the Sioux Nation. He is intrigued, but declines Mya’s offer to visit the dig site because of a pressing family issue. A rift had formed between him and his nineteen-year-old nephew Derek, and it was like a dagger through his heart. Geneticist Zane Simon’s amazing discovery will save the lives of a select number of humans, but there is no hope for the other seven billion. The problem will be keeping it a secret. When the Sioux prophecy comes true, Alex, Derek, and Mya are among the lucky few who qualify for Zane’s program and will be saved, but Alex is torn between saving his family and friends by joining the chosen ones, or trying to avert an apocalyptic disaster for the rest of humanity. The odds of success are small and the choice almost too much to bear.
