It's January in Lancaster. The whole town is fascinated by a mystery story being run in the local paper. Jan soon becomes convinced there is a cryptic code hidden in the text of the mystery. Elaine thinks the villain is modeled after her. Jan is also trying to find a location for her wedding tea.
