Finley McWaters thought telling her high school boyfriend about her pregnancy was the right thing to do. She loved him and he loved her, but being parents would put his future as a pro football player in jepoardy. What was supposed to be a casual dinner with him and his parents, quickly turns into her becoming a single parent. Dr. Stephen Barlow longs for the girl from high school, it didn't matter she was his brother's girl. She barely even knew he existed because he didn't have the balls to ask her out first. Instead, he buried his head in text books and made it through many rigorous years of schooling before finally getting his degree and following in his father's footsteps. Neither Finley nor Stephen would have guessed a simple fall on the playground and a routine diagnosis would soon turn their lives upside down.

TL Mayhew is a Contemporary and Dark Romance writer from Nebraska. Her love for reading started back in elementary school when her favorite books, The Black Stallion, Black Beauty and Misty of Chincoteague all seemed to have one theme... a horse as the leading character. It's fair to say that since then her reading tastes have changed and now, instead of a horse as the leading character it's a hot alpha. In high school TL took a creative writing class where she received high praise for her work. At that same time though, boys caught her interest and any urge to write went via the way side. It wasn't until she married and had two kids, that TL put any thought in to writing. And even then it was close to a year before any words were put on paper. Amazingly those words were the direct result of a question "Do you want to give it a try?" from an Author TL idolizes. If it weren't for that question she may never have realized her love for writing and wouldn't have her first work releasing in January 2018.
