Wayward Son

2019

Is an Alpha wolf without a pack still an Alpha? Deep in the swamps of Louisiana, Francisco Meyer leads the Whiskey Chitto Wolfpack. His wife, Regina, is pregnant, and the pack prepares a great celebration for the coming Alpha and heir to the pack. Tragedy strikes and Regina miscarries the child. After many years of trying, she is unable to conceive again. She pleads with her husband to take a second wife to produce an heir. The pack's survival depends upon it. When rival packs begin to test Frank's authority of the pack, he gives in to his wife's request. Instead of taking another wife, he makes a deal with a fairy woman who assures him a male heir and protection for his pack. He makes the deal on behalf of the pack. She bares him a son, Dominick. The pack is unhappy about the deal that Frank made with the fairy woman, however, with pressure from the other packs, they reluctantly accept Dominick as the next Alpha. This is the story of Dominick Meyer who ended up as a knight of the Queen of the Winter in Shady Grove, Alabama. His journey begins as a Wayward Son. Wayward Son is the prequel to the Dog River Wolfpack Series, which is a spin-off of the Fairy Tales of a Trailer Park Queen Series.

Simple Man

2021

When you finish a story, sometimes you have to go back to the beginning to understand it. I was born Dominick Conell Meyers. I was raised by a man who didn’t love me, and a woman who was forced to claim me as her own. I left home and wandered. My heart pulled me to a city where I met a man who changed my life. My brother, Sullivan Talbot. I’d never had the love of family before he strode into my life. I had been told that home was where the heart was. Meeting Sully made my heart beat again, but it wasn’t home. I took steps forward to find the place where I belonged. That was when I’d found Shady Grove, Grace, and Levi. Sully had awakened me, but Levi made me feel alive. The connection between us was undeniable. I never thought I’d have a best friend who was like a brother to me. Grace and her charm made me consider looking for love. Levi and Grace were a shining example to me of what good there could be if you found the right partner. It was the first time I thought, maybe, just maybe I could find it. Following Winnie to Steelshore landed me in the arms of a woman who would betray me and my heart. But she opened a world to me that gave me glimpses of what could be. A strong pack. A leadership role that I never thought was possible. When my real mother and father betrayed me, it didn’t hurt. I’d built my family of the people who had empowered me. When Delaney fell into my arms, I counted myself the luckiest wolf on the planet. I’d been given a gift. Family. Home. Purpose. Love. I had things that I never thought I’d ever had. Then, I realized that all of those things could be taken away from me in an instant. But I had changed. I wasn’t the lone wolf anymore. I couldn’t withdraw and wander. I was a fighter now. I had a reason to fight. And if it killed me, I was going to keep what was mine. They say wolves in the wild don’t have an alpha hierarchy. Only wolves in captivity do. My cage was one I’d built for myself. My family. My home. My purpose. My love. I would tear the world apart to keep what was MINE. Simple Man is the final book in the Dog River Wolfpack Series, and the finale of season two of Kimbra Swain's Trailerve
