I am a retired psychiatrist who has been restored to my default identity of English major. Restoration included owning a book store for seven years in the town of Wake Forest, NC, where I live with my wife Lauren. I am also a sometimes storyteller who tells stories because I can't help it. Born and grew up in rural western North Carolina, my dearest alma mater is Gardner Webb University where I played basketball 1965-67.
