Dzvinka was born at the foothills of the Carpathian Mountains of Ukraine but has lived most of her life in the United States. As a Waldorf teacher, she tells a story to her students daily. She is also a an artist who paints in the naif' style. Dzvinka has turned her art into illustrated children's books. Every page is saturated with beautiful colors reminiscent of the way Dzvinka saw the world as a child. In these days of uncertainty, her books are comforting to the child with the reassurance that the world is a beautiful and safe place. Her book "Little Angel's Journey" has won the Moonbeam children's book award. Dzvinka's Ukrainian heritage can be seen in her art work. Living in Michigan, Dzvinka enjoys the seasonal changes, especially the greenery and lakes.
