Edward has been a jazz fan since his early teen years in Cleveland, Ohio, where he spent an inordinate amount of time in listening booths at the back of downtown record shops. (He occasionally bought an LP to keep the proprietors happy.) After a three-year stint in the army, he attended Ohio State University and the University of Buffalo. Upon graduating with a master’s in electrical engineering, he began his first career in international satellite communications. Many years later, he discovered his true calling when he became a writer and publisher of children’s books, notably Bebop Babies. His first titles for adults, Ellington at the White House 1969 and Prisoner Chaser, were released in 2013. Edward lives in Takoma Park, Maryland, with squirrels in the attic, raccoons in the chimney, cardinals outside the windows, deer in the backyard, and a Metro stop just three blocks down the street.
