Follow Nori Stedworth and her witty alter-ego, Gertie, in this short sequel to the acclaimed novel, Talk Gertie To Me, as Nori and Mac journey to Ten Commandments, Iowa for a Christmas they will not soon forget. Christmas is not beginning well, when Nori and her "significant other," Mac, receive a cross-stitched pillow from Nori's mother with a none-too-subtle message prodding for marriage and children, followed by a tryst cut short by an explosion and fire in the motel where Mac is staying. However, their troubles are dwarfed by investigators' finding someone dead in the explosion in the motel. Nori's alter-ego, Gertie, can't help but lend her acerbic wit to the twists and turns as Ten Commandments is turned upside down in the search for a murderer and arsonist in the small town.
