Born and raised in California. Was a fifth generation Bay Area resident. Got my BA from UC Davis in English (Creative Writing). Thought I would live in California until I died. Had the incredible luck to attend the Masters program at the University of Glasgow in Scotland. I graduated with distinction, which means they liked me even though my personality was a bit sun-shiny for their tastes. I love Glasgow to this day. I came back to the States and wanted to drop out after getting priced out and stressed out by my own home state. I moved to the literal middle of nowhere in the rural South and I love it. I teach English at a local college and I write and hug dogs and play pub trivia and garden and write and collect things (mostly incredible turns of phrase from locals). I am in the process of writing my second novel. Fingers crossed it gets done by the end of the year. For more information, see: elizabethdutton.com/about
