Ella Hall is a BIPOC fantasy author, journalist, and creative force behind The Drifters: Awakening the Four Powers—a YA fantasy novel that blends identity, resistance, and magic. Born in Portland, Oregon, Ella grew up surrounded by stories and went on to write her own, giving voice to characters that reflect the depth and diversity of real life. She is the author of Text Me Loving Your Enemy, a raw and reflective memoir, and has contributed to anthologies like The Sparkle in the Grit and When You Were Fifteen. Her stories often explore the tension between power and purpose, and she’s passionate about creating space for underrepresented voices in literature. Ella currently lives in Vancouver, Washington, and chronicles her journey through writing, publishing, and vlogging on her YouTube channel, The Drifters Chronicles. When she’s not writing or studying journalism, she’s dreaming up new worlds—where magic is real, the stakes are high, and the underdog always has a voice.
