This is an excellent personal narrative by Kapitanleutnant Hellmuth von Mucke, first officer aboard the S.M.S Emden during the beginning of the First World War. It includes a phenomenal description of the Battle of Penang. This should be considered a must read for anyone interested in the naval history of the Great War.
