When the normally shy and retiring Emily transfers to her new convent school she’s immediately marked out by the other pupils as being a spy for the nuns, prompting the school’s resident hard-nut and fellow outcast Kelly to take Emily under her wing in the mistaken belief that she’s a kindred spirit. Things go from bad to worse when Kelly discovers that Emily has a secret crush on an equally bashful boy from the neighbouring academy and sets out to play cupid by uniting the misfits from both schools in a hare-brained scheme to bring the star crossed lovers together.
