Emmeline Bennett, born and brought up in rural Somerset, England, has been writing stories since she could put pen to paper. Laughter at Withy Hill is her debut novel, and is the result of her passion both for writing and for local history. Home-educated from the age of 11, Emmeline has spent a number of years studying the history of the village where she grew up, and in doing so has become an active member of its surviving community. As a Christian, Emmeline seeks to glorify God in her writing, making her faith a thread running through all that she writes. She prays that readers will be blessed by her writing, and that in some small way they will be pointed to the God who inspires her.
