Born in southern Sweden, not far from where Camilla's and my debut novel Birds of Ásgarðr begins, I developed an early fascination with history. My article “The Curmsun Disc: Harald Bluetooth’s Golden Bull?” deepened that interest and led me into the world of Norse mythology, including the extensive research of Viktor Rydberg. From there, the Old Norse Saga began to take shape. Recognising the need for a strong literary partner, I initiated a collaboration with Camilla Beskow, who proved to be the ideal co-author for this ambitious project. After five years of close collaboration, The Old Norse Saga - Part one: Birds of Ásgarðr emerged as the first of four planned novels in the Old Norse Saga series. I hold a Master’s degree in Economics and a Bachelor of Laws. For ten years, I served as Chief Financial Officer of Svenska Bio, Sweden’s second biggest cinema chain, working closely with the legendary manager Peter Fornstam, with whom I continue to maintain a close relationship. Beyond writing, I am deeply involved in sport, serving as a Strength & Conditioning coach for Swedish fencing and as General Secretary of the Swedish Multisport Federation.
