Frequent daydreams of different worlds—and the fantastical creatures that occupy them—were often at the forefront of her mind. She spent years working on various writing projects, until one day in 2020, when the world was at a standstill, she found her story. Growing up as an anxious kid (and into a more anxious adult), she weaves bits of her experiences into her characters, creating relatable, lifelike people set into a fantasy setting. Mental health is an important topic for her and she brings such topics to the forefront of A Queen’s Game. Though writing occupies much of Eri's life, she is also an avid reader.
