Born in her grandfather's home on Field's Road, Eris spent her early childhood in Jericho, Vermont. While attending Union University's School of Nursing, she met her future husband, a surgical intern from Istanbul Turkey. After moving to Buffalo, they worked together in the Neurosurgical Department of Roswell Park Cancer Institute and wrote several research papers. After their five children finished high school, Eris returned to the University at Buffalo where she completed her master's degree in psychiatric nursing, and, at the same time, studied Creative Writing. Eris' first publications were a biographical novel, Legacy of Change: The Saga of a Turkish Family from Empire to Republic and a textbook, Psychiatric Advanced Practice Nursing. The next publications were a contemporary romance, The Gift of Love, and a cross-cultural romance, Lattices of Love. She is now researching another cross-cultural romance that includes political refugees.
