Sam Taylor has left behind the only life she has ever known for a career as a paramedic with the Black Night City Fire Department. She is using this chance to start a new life away from her abusive ex-husband. Sam finds herself, once again trying to escape from Derek and his behaviors, which are worse then she imagined. She finds herself having to deal with his past actions as well as his present actions.
