When Kat Shergill travels to a small town in Germany for a college course, she has no idea she'll run into Peter, an ex-boyfriend. Almost as soon as they realize they still have feelings for each other, Peter is kidnapped. Though Kat does everything she can to understand the clues and ensure her friend's safe return, she angers the kidnapper, whose taunting text messages and calls suddenly stop.
