Part of Series

In the eight years since the bombs fell and the dead rose, not once has Scratch Sullivan wanted to hang up his guns and retire from hunting THEM. But after failing to save his girlfriend Kara from a fate worse than death, he's a broken man, lost and adrift in an even more broken world. Yet, the apocalypse is a fickle mistress, and fate has more in store for the former spec ops soldier and war vet. And as Scratch and his companions face a new and terrifying threat, he uncovers a sinister plot threatening the last remaining threads of humanity... With nothing left to lose, Scratch heads out on one last, desperate mission—and he'll be damned if he fails the people he loves again. Even if he has to sacrifice himself for the mission, he's determined to ensure the survival of the human race. And if Scratch has his way, he'll cause an extinction of his own making... an undead apocalypse!

I write urban fantasy, paranormal suspense, and dark fantasy novels. My first series, THEM, is a jaunt through a post-apocalyptic central Texas where the dead walk, and vampires, werewolves and other unsavory creatures roam the night. It has elements of the zompoc genre, dark fantasy, and military survival fiction. My goal with this series was to give readers the same excitement I get from reading books by Larry Correia, Jonathan Maberry, and J.L. Bourne. On the other hand, my Colin McCool series falls squarely between urban fantasy and paranormal suspense. Colin's world is full of magic, mystery, and folklore come to life. I wrote this series because I love reading books by authors like Patricia Briggs, Kevin Hearne, Jim Butcher, and Neil Gaiman. And, like most authors, I try to write stories that I would enjoy reading. I currently live in the Hill Country near Austin, Texas, which is where much of my fiction is set. Most days you can find me in a local coffee shop or in my office working on my next book, or in my garage pummeling inanimate objects.
