When twenty-year-old Faith Wallace learns her family expects her to marry her deceased sister’s abusive husband and care for his five children, she runs. Making her way to the small town of Summit Creek, Wyoming, Faith believes she’s put enough distance between her and her hometown in Wisconsin. Nash Cannon, the sheriff of Summit Creek, greets the stagecoach each day and welcomes visitors. He’s immediately smitten with the lovely Faith. Faith believes she’s found a new home and job in the small town, far away from the fear she’d encountered when learning of her forced marriage to Simon.
