When I rented this room, I had hoped to create a private artist’s retreat, and finally focus on my painting. Instead, I find myself haunted by distraction in the form of Vic. He seems to share a dark secret with another a medical student who rents the basement apartment. The student is testing an experimental cure which seems more akin to a miracle. I do not understand the secret which binds them. Not yet.
