When Lilli Eden sees a nine month old baby left in a car in the late summer heat, she acts quickly. After help arrives, she learns that the baby belongs to Eve Spencer. The problem? Lilli is Eve. Eve Spencer is losing a grip on everything she thought was real. Another consciousness has taken form in her psyche and she believes, with certainty, that Lilli Eden is her true identity. Eve abandons herself and becomes Lilli Eden, much to the chagrin of her husband, Ben, who is immediately at odds with the appearance of the alter ego. His wife, however, is adamant. Lilli's resolute attitude has Child Protective Services alarmed, and the media smelling blood, dubbing her "The Amnesiac Mother". Lilli's estranged sister hears of her plight on the news and returns to side with Ben in trying to quash her delusion. Lilli is caught between being true to herself and conforming to "the system" and her families' wishes. But is it a delusion after all?
