Farhad Daftary (born 1938) (Persian: فرهاد دفترى) is co-director and head of the Department of Academic Research and Publications at the Institute of Ismaili Studies. Daftary received his Ph.D. in 1971 from the University of California, Berkeley. He is a consulting editor of the Encyclopaedia Iranica, co-editor (with W.
