Dmitry, seeking to explore the possibility of more human weapons, starts a series of events that results in dead bodies connected to Gwen turning up in town. Reeling from a forced end to the romantic relationship between her and Sebastian, Gwen is set up with Shane, a witch who is seen as more suitable. Shane, despite already having a life of his own, has no choice but to pursue the now broken and vulnerable Gwen, even at his own peril. When the bodies of all the men she formerly loved start to show up, minus their hearts at gruesome crime scenes, he becomes a real ally in helping her solve the mystery of who is behind the carnage. Since Gwen’s list is short, Dillon and Shane are in imminent danger. Old allies take on new roles, some helpful and others deep betrayals.
