Pub owner Ryan Thomas’s delightful day takes a sinister turn when he’s mistakenly swept into hell on a death train carrying damned souls to the netherworld. Thomas’s trip will bring him face-to-face with his doppelganger, Demon Thomas, and Bub Number Two, the second in command in hell. The demons have scores to settle with both Ryan Thomas and his close friend, Hamelin Russell, a regulations-bending soul runner who has tricks that even the devil hasn’t mastered. Bub Number Two will let the pub owner return to the mortal world in exchange for Hamelin. Demon Thomas, however, won’t be satisfied until he destroys his lookalike. When Demon Thomas is accidentally released from hell, he sets out to kill Ryan Thomas and anyone who gets in his way. As Hamelin Russell battles an overzealous angel, Ryan Thomas realizes Hamelin can’t be counted on to save him. Odds are against Ryan surviving an assault from hell, but with his family at risk, he scrambles to stay one step ahead of a crazed demon who has nothing left to lose. Demon Thomas’s vendetta will set mortals against immortals, soul runners against angels and demons, and angels against the devil in the ageless battle between good and evil.
