In the heart of a neighborhood in the Island of dreams Djerba, Reem, a young orphan Muslim girl, lives within a Jewish family, but due to certain circumstances, she is forced to leave Tunisia and moves to south Lebanon to live with a Jewish family as well. There, she becomes a friend with Nada, the Jewish tolerant stubborn girl who is engaged to Ahmad the Muslim mujahid for Allah' sake . Their relation is based on one question, whose religion is the right one ?? I highly recommend the book to all people but you have to put away your believe aside then start reading, be neutral. يقول النقّاد أنه كلما زاد عدد كلمات العنوان ، كلما صار أضعف ، إلا فى بعض الاستثناءات .. كان هذا العنوان أحد الاستثناءات ..اسم مميز ، وغلاف جميل أعطيا الرواية تلك الجاذبية الشديدة التى تشعر بها حين تراها وتقرأ اسمها للمرة الأولى.. بعد الوصول للنهاية ستدرك أنك خُدعت ، وأن اسم الرواية لا يُعبّر عن المضمون فى شئ ، وإنما العكس تمامًا .. تتحدث الرواية عن ( ريم ) البنت المسلمة التى فقد والديها وتربّت وسط عائلة يهودية .. تحترم عقائدهم ويحترمون عقائدها .. تسير الأيام فى بطء إلى أن تبدأ ( ريم ) فى التبدّل .. ترى أن هذه العائلة مصيرها النار وأن عليها أن ترشدهم إلى الطريق الصحيح ..

اعترض طريقه جراب "حاوي" جعله في مواجهة مباشرة مع كل جراحات الماضي، فتحه فوجد فيه ورقة حب، وورقة موت، وكتابًا لم يقرأه أحد فهل سيتمكن من كشف الخدعة، وإعادة الحبر الذي اختفى من الكتب لإنقاذ الجميع.. أم سيصير هو نفسه أحد الحواة؟

Anis Mansour wrote more than 170 books on many subjects, some of which were translated into French, Dutch and Russian. he translated about 200 short stories and more than 20 plays into Arabic. He introduced Alberto Moravia to the Arabic literature by being the first to translate his works into Arabic.
