A blind woman is found murdered in the South Yorkshire town of Bromersley. Three unconnected witnesses swear that they saw a woman in a blue dress flee the scene minutes before the body is found. In addition, a picture of the wanted woman, whose likeness was painted sixty years earlier, is discovered in the house of an acquaintance of the victim! Why is the suspect in an old painting?
