
Newbury, Michigan - 1831 Hard times have struck the Clark’s Creek Ranch, and they now face losing all they have. The devastation of a house fire has turned Mildred’s life upside down. Her father is left severely injured, her mother is dead, and she is now responsible to care for her younger siblings. Her entire family is left homeless. Mildred Clark is determined to keep her family together, regardless if they must leave the ranch or not. To make matters worse, they find the fire may have been set intentionally.
