Bed and Breakfast and Murder
2017
A Poo Poo Kind of Morning
I tried not to look down the mouth of hell staring back at me from inside the glaringly pristine outer ceramic shell of the white throne, my throat catching, stomach doing half flips and a rather impressive rollover routine that would have gotten at least a 9.5 even from the Russian judges. Instead, I forced myself to smile and swallow and remind myself the elbow length yellow rubber gloves grasping the handle of the standard issue plunger were all that stood between me and Pooageddon.
Suck it up, Fee. Big girl panties and adulting and all that.
"At what point," I waved the dripping plunger, wincing as droplets of yuck flew, "did I think owning a bed and breakfast was going to be glamorous and romantic?"
Fiona Fleming hasn't lived in Reading, Vermont in over a decade, her escape from small town living leading her to New York City and a life of adventure. An adventure that has left her with no career, an ex who cheated on her and zero plans for the future. Her grandmother's death grants her a new chance—inheriting Petunia's, Iris Fleming's bed and breakfast, seems like the ideal fresh start. But when Fee finds out ownership of the property Iris willed her might be in question, she's drawn into the seedy underbelly of the cutest town in America after being singled out as the main suspect in a murder.

Chocolate Hearts and Murder
2017
A Multiple Drink Kind of Night
Why was it fancy Valentine’s Day drinks were always tinted red? Reminded me more of gore and mayhem than anything to do with romance. Which said a lot, I suppose, for my state of mind when it came to relationships and dating.
No bitterness in Fiona Fleming toward the opposite sex or anything.
I sipped carefully at the mimosa the bartender smilingly handed me and shrugged off the sweetness. It had alcohol in it, so I guess it would do. A few of these and I might even find a way to enjoy myself tonight. Yeah, right.
Fiona Fleming would rather be home, at her bed and breakfast with her pug Petunia snuggled up to her while everyone else celebrates Valentine’s Day without her, thank you very much. Instead, she’s been recruited to attend another of Mayor Olivia Walker’s Reading, Vermont tourism promotion events. But when the young majority stakeholder in the White Valley Ski Lodge ends up dead, she’s ready and willing to help Sheriff Crew Turner and her father uncover who killed their victim while a snowstorm cuts them off from the rest of the world.

Fame and Fortune and Murder
2017
An Insulting Kind of Day
I skipped around a small stack of pylons while my deputy cousin unloaded more of the same from the back of the sheriff’s pickup. I beamed at Robert Carlisle, not because I adored him. Quite the opposite. I couldn’t stand the wretched little piece of loathing with his seventies-esque bush of a black mustache or his pompous superiority that he got to be a cop and I didn’t or his growing beer belly and hideous leer he liked to aim at any woman under the age of fifty.
No, I grinned and waved out of sheer delight at his less than enthusiastic expression as he grunted his way through hefting a rather heavy looking barricade onto the sidewalk.
“Exercise is good for you,” I said as I kept going without offering to help.
“Your ass could use some lately, Fanny,” he shot after me.
He did not just call me fat and Fanny in the same sentence.
Fiona Fleming has no intention of getting involved when Mayor Olivia Walker hosts a parade for the celebrity couple whose fame she’s been using to promote their town. But when the local ski lodge can’t accommodate and Willow Pink and Skip Anderson end up staying at Petunia’s, Fee is not only front row center to a murder, she’s trapped in her own bed and breakfast with the suspects when the frenzied media descends on Reading looking for the story of a lifetime.

Ghosts and Goblins and Murder
2017
A fourth cozy mystery installment to die for!
It was almost as if someone wrapped the room in a cold hand, chill in the air triggering goosebumps on my skin. I caught motion in the corner of my eye, turned in time to see a glowing, ghostly figure float through the pocket door and come to a halt at the far end of the table. This time, rather than a static image, the young man raised both arms, eyes black pits of emptiness, mouth gaping open as he reached for Emelia.
Who screamed and reached back. "Manuel!"
I'd be nominating Sadie for an Oscar for this performance. Right after my terror at this new and utterly believable trick allowed me to breathe.
When the psychic leading the seance she's attending ends up dead, Fee can't help but feel like her bad luck yet again put her in the wrong place at the wrong time. With Sheriff Crew Turner ordering her to stay out of it or else, her father, retired from the force or not, egging her on and a string of murders begging to be solved, she can either go home and be a good B&B owner or find out whodunit!

Deck The Halls and Murder
2020
A cozy kind of Christmas
The annual Christmas parade and tree lighting is interrupted when a corpse—rather than Santa—takes center stage. With her father’s investigation into the original crime under question, Fee pursues the truth while trying to hang onto her holiday spirit without spoiling her chances at a date with Sheriff Crew Turner.
PLEASE NOTE (possible spoiler alert): Deck The Halls and Murder takes place AFTER Fiona Fleming Cozy Mysteries #4 (Ghosts and Goblins and Murder). Reading to that point prior to this volume is strongly recommended.

Ganache and Fondant and Murder
2017
A fifth cozy mystery installment to die for!
Not to be indelicate about it, but if Mom made me eat one more bite of cake, I was going to throw up. I'd honestly ingested enough dessert in the last hour to sink a submarine with no end in sight.
Don't get me wrong. I loved my mother's baking. But a girl has her limits, and I had finally reached mine, groaning, burping softly around the chocolate, vanilla, red velvet, buttercream and banana that swam on the surface of a variety of other flavors I'd rather not taste again in reverse. With renovations of the new annex to Petunia's in full swing, Fiona's life might be more in order, but her habit of digging into criminal cases hasn't changed one bit. Doesn't help when her mother is on the suspect list, the death of a famous cooking show judge leading Fee into the dark side of bake offs, television and murder.

Now that the annex is ready to open and her romance with Crew is budding with spring, Fee prepares for the wedding of the year while trying to balance her mother's continuing self-confidence issues and her own rapidly expanding business. An afternoon of zip lining at a new park seems like a great way to let off some steam—until an activist protesting the park is found murdered. Once again in the middle of a murder investigation, Fee finds working with Crew instead of against him puts her in more danger than ever!

Anchors Away and Murder
2018
A seventh cozy mystery installment to die for!
A Crew-less Kind of Week
“Good morning, Sheriff. How’s Montpelier?” He and Jill were at a conference in the state capital, gone since last Sunday night. He’d been great to keep in touch, calling when he knew I’d be alone, usually about this time of day and again late enough at night we had lots of time to talk. Did he really know me that well, my schedule? Apparently. Made me feel a happy little bubble of joy, like we were really a couple. Weren’t we?
“Good morning, Miss Fleming,” he said in that deep gravel voice of his that made me shiver and grin all over again. “I’m bored silly, ready to come home tomorrow and wishing you’d come with me instead of Jill.”
Well, growl, Sheriff Turner.
With Petunia’s and the annex packed to the brim, Fee’s business is booming. When the yacht club’s president dies under mysterious circumstances, she discovers her bed and breakfast isn’t her only source of employment. Newly partnered with her father in Fleming Investigations, Fee reaches out to Crew to come home and solve the case. Trouble is, he’s vanished and no one will tell her where he’s gone. Worst of all? That leaves Robert, of all people, sitting in the sheriff’s seat to head butt with Fee and John with Olivia’s job again in the balance.

#8
Guns and Ammo and Murder
2018
An anxious kind of month
“Any new threats against you?” Pamela seemed eager for my answer while I tsked at her.
“Are you actually asking me if I’ve had any further nasty messages left in my mailbox?” There’d been more than a few since she’d gleefully published my first column. I figured there’d be pushback, but threatening to hurt my dog, my business and my koi? Unacceptable. And while Crew seemed to think none of the threats were real, he was still worried, though he never once asked me to stop writing because he was a smart, smart boy.
Tensions are high as a pending election pits incumbent mayor Olivia Walker against Patterson lackey Geoffrey Jenkins, threatening Crew’s job as sheriff and his place in Reading. Fee and her mother, meanwhile, agree to assist the owner of a new hunting retreat with the first batch of guests. To their horror, not only are they cut off from the rest of Reading by an accidental beaver dam demolition, they are forced to investigate a murder while Fee wrestles with her past and the fact she’s still not over her ex.

Runways and High Heels and Murder
2018
An empowering kind of moment
I had no idea hitting someone could be so emotionally satisfying. Not that I condoned violence on a regular basis, but I did happen to be known for my temper. Still, I usually took the pacifist route on the outside, if I tended to boil over on the inside. This opportunity to actually use my fists to strike out at another human being had much more appeal than I should have allowed myself. And the tight grin and panting half-hiccup, half giggle that escaped me every time I punched Matt honestly had to go.
Self-defense class was fun, yo.
Fee and Crew have fallen into a delightful romance while Reading’s continuing popularity keeps her busy at work. When a fashion show comes to town, Fee finds herself hosting Vivian French’s favorite designer at Petunia’s, along with the drama that entails. But when one of the elite ends up dead, it’s the drama between her loved ones that gets Fee the most riled up while she does her best to solve yet another murder.

Plaid and Fore! and Murder
2018
A mulligan kind of instant“Sorry about the whole clandestine next state over photo adventure,” Crew said. “It’s not like anyone else is looking since those treasure hunters debunked the idea.” I remembered Olivia’s disappointment, how she’d invested so much time and effort into the Captain Reading branding. If only she knew…Daisy made a noise, a choking, nervous sound that made me sigh.“Day,” I said, voice low and doing my best not to feel disappointed despite knowing what she was about to say. “It’s okay. Just tell us.”She met my eyes, her gray ones huge, while Crew waited, photos limp in his hands but zero judgment on his face, either.“I’m sorry,” she whispered, head hanging now. “It’s not just us. I told Rose everything.”When a golf pro falls victim to murder during a tournament hosted at the White Valley Golf and Country Club, Fee finds herself embroiled in the mystery while the hunt for the Reading hoard heats up and secrets behind the disappearance of Fiona Doyle are finally revealed.Don't miss a single volume in the Fiona Fleming Cozy Mysteries! Whips and Spurs and Murder
2019
An epic kind of year
There were times when I made truly bad choices in life, moments when I knew better but I just couldn’t seem to help myself. You know what I mean, right? How logic and common sense seem to diverge with the powerful urge to act despite the innate understanding such actions will likely get you into a world of trouble and may not, in the end, be worth it? And, despite knowing all that, no matter how much you work to convince yourself some things are better left undone, let go, abandoned you just can’t seem to allow yourself the freedom to be a good, normal person and simply mind your own business.
Wait. Was that just me? Sigh.
Yeah. Just me. Okay then.
Fiona Fleming’s plans to sneak into the exclusive Patterson wedding are interrupted when she stumbles on yet another body. With Crew out of town and the sheriff’s department short staffed, Fee finds herself investigating alongside his former FBI partner, Elizabeth Michaud. While she does her best to solve the murder, she uncovers further mysteries around the ruling family of the cutest town in America.

Something Borrowed, Something Blue and Murder
2019
An old kind of new
Crew closed the distance between us, my head suddenly tucked under his chin, hands pressing me to him, rocking me gently, softly while he whispered my name in my ear. “Fee, I love you. I stayed for you, from the first time we met. I knew it was you.”Damn it, Crew Turner. Stop that right now. He turned me slightly, still holding me, and went on. “For better or worse, this place is home, now.” He nodded to Vivian who nodded back. “No matter what happens, I guess I’m about to become a Fleming.”I laughed at that through my tears, while Dad chuckled and Mom tsked. But, knowing Reading? That was exactly what everyone would think.
Poor Crew.
With a fresh death in none other than her beloved Petunia’s, and her wedding hanging in the balance, Fee must accept a role she never expected while doing her best to catch a murderer, all while realizing there’s a very good chance someone has it out for her…

Pirate Gold and Murder
2019
A swashbuckling kind of life
I could honestly say there was nothing more incredible than opening my eyes to find a pair of gorgeous blue ones staring right back at me. I’d been enjoying this particular view for the last six months, with many, many more mornings to come. The rest of our lives together, to be exact, minus a few the delicious man I’d married was out of town.
How lucky could I possibly get?
Happily married and ready for the truth, Fee and Crew go on an official search to find out if Reading’s hoard actually exists. But treasure hunting takes a nasty turn when one of the dive team searching for gold goes belly up. To make matters worse, a second death adds to Fee’s body count, leaving her juggling two murders and more mysteries than even a Fleming knows what to do with.
In this final installment of the Fiona Fleming Cozy Mysteries, will Fee finally uncover the secret of her namesake, Blackstone Corporation, Captain Reading’s lost treasure and more?

I write a lot of paranormal books for someone who is afraid of the dark. And I wonder why I have to sleep with the lights on. Sometimes life is a teenaged B horror movie and I'm the one who investigates when the scary music is playing. But the voices are calling and resistance is… Yes. I am a Star Trek geek, too. And a fan of RPG’s. With a slight coolness factor since I've been told I'm allowed to join the pops. Naw. I like being a nerdy girl :)
