Stone Ridge had not been expecting to find Zoe Beaumont face down in the stone. A senior executive for a rival building company; she was in town to purchase most of the businesses and surrounding land grants. G&S building had managed to get its hands on a land deal that had been pitched by Stone's family for years. Stone knew they were dealing with corporate espionage and he saw Zoe as the culprit.
