Fred Lunzer is a writer based in London, with a background in AI research and strategy. He grew up in London and Tokyo, and speaks Japanese. He is the third of five children, and most of his ideas come from arguments with his brothers and sister. He likes reading realism, humour, depictions of modern life (from any era), and books where there's a kind of honesty between the feelings on the page and the author who felt them. As of March 2025, he's interested in exploring how a realist literary fiction can capture the futuristic, ethically questionable, wild world that surrounds us today. His debut novel Sike tries to do this by taking a non-polarised look at a polarising technology.
