This way they can remain close, even when Molly is far away. The girls each choose a special stationery pattern and then, before moving day, they help Molly pack. Too quickly it's the night before the big move. And Molly's dog, Riggs, has run away! The girls organize a neighborhood search. But when they can't find him, Molly decides that maybe Riggs has the right idea...

But Stevie isn't a dancer or an actress like them. What can she be in the play? She tries to explain how she feels, but they don't even listen. And soon their club meetings aren't as much fun as they used to be. Then Stevie writes to the one person who will understand—Molly. Can Molly come up with a plan to save the Friends 4-Ever?

And her other "Friends 4-Ever," Stevie and Meg, are in a different class and go to soccer practice after school. Laura doesn't play soccer. Worse still, since her mother's gone back to work, Laura has to go to the After-School Program every day with all the little kids. Then Laura becomes friends with Shana, a new girl who feels the same way Laura does about the After-School Program. Laura tries to tell Meg and Stevie how nice Shana is, but all they do is make fun of Shana's spiky hair and wild earrings. So Laura seeks advice from Molly. With Molly's help, can Laura convince her old friends to accept her new friend?

Friends 4-Ever vs. Kansas Friends Molly's coming home soon! She's been in Kansas for a year, and her Friends 4-Ever—Laura, Stevie, and Meg—can't wait to see her! Then they get a letter from Molly saying her family is staying in Kansas a while longer. Even worse, Molly was actually sad at the thought of leaving Kansas and her friends there. Meg, the problem-solver, knows it's up to her to make things better, to remind Molly who her real best friends are. And, if Molly's not coming home, Meg will have to go to Kansas. Some of the kids and teachers at school don't recognize her, and her own best friends are doing new things that she can't be part of. Molly is confused.
