A 6th generation Texan, I am proud to be descended from a family who has resided here under four flags. I enjoy researching my family and relating the stories and tales of their time in Western fiction. History covers the Texas landscape like a multi-colored quilt, each square particular to the different cultures and traditions. Texas will always have an aura of adventure and a certain mystery that causes the mind to day-dream and want to relive those days that helped shape this great state. I find it rewarding, driving the back roads, in search of clues to that history. When you read my books you will find the places mentioned still exist, sometimes renamed while others were consumed by the progress of cities and towns, some only noted by historical markers in fields and along roadsides. But at some point in time, all existed.
