
Gary W. Griffen has produced four award-winning TV specials for the Discovery Channel on white-tailed deer. He has also won international and national awards for his films on elk, moose, wild turkeys and ring-necked pheasants. He has specialized in filming wildlife in North America for more than 30 years. Griffen has published wildlife and nature photographs in hundreds of books, magazines and calendars, including more than 50 magazine covers. His photos have appeared in Outdoor Life, Field & Stream, Smithsonian, Natural History and BBC. He is the author and photographer of the award-winning books, Whitetails In America, America’s Wild Turkey and was the principle photographer of Wild Turkey Country. Griffen graduated magna cum laude with an M.A. from Syracuse University, Newhouse School of Communications.
