Back in 1990, when I first started this story as a hardback, entitled “Valley of the Dry Bones”, I foresaw the United States of America in the year 2015. I envisioned a most serious drought in the Pacific Northwest, with the worst of it in my home state of California. I saw political correctness turned into its present day form of legal jurisprudence, where PC replaces written law. I even foresaw a second American involvement in the Middle East (Pakistan, after Iraq), and a post year-2000 collapse of the housing market. I saw unemployment, hate, political division, corruption in government at all levels, a repeal of the 2nd Amendment, disarmament, and the continued division of my Baby Boomer generation, which came out of the Hippie movement of the 1960s, where the leaders of those movements became America’s political leaders. Most of all, I saw a spiraling death of Christian influence throughout Western Civilization because the modern day church has failed modern day humanity. Or, has humanity failed God’s call? Regardless, I saw a death of the American Christian movement, a total collapse of our economy, an evolving police power state, heavy taxation, and a replacement of faith in God with a humanistic faith in the state. So I wrote my hardback novel, in 1990 and 1991, and self-published it in 1992. This is the less expensive e-book version of my hard book story, my visions, and my predictions. In this story, the Hippie movement, the peace symbol people, the environmentalists, the anti-Vietnam war protestors, the “Flower Children”, win the cultural war that was started back in 1967. As was so accurately predicted by a 1964 Oroville High School alumni: the Earth First, California Hippie, movement wins the battle, the rule of authority, and even the whole earth! They flat line the Tea Party like a construction crew rolls out tarmac, under the hot morning sun. So, way back in 1992, I wrote goodbye to America in 2015, in my own personal way, long before most other people my same age saw what was coming and is now upon us. GBA, “Goodbye America” in 2015.
