Gene Kannenberg Jnr. gained his PhD on comics at the University of Connecticut and has published numerous articles on comic art, including work for The Comics Journal. He has served as Chair of the International Comic Arts Festival (ICAF) and is the current Director of the Comic Art & Comics section of the Popular Culture Association.
