Georgann Prochaska grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, attended Carl Sandburg High School, went on to Illinois State University, and taught high school students for 34 years. After she retired, she spent 10 years volunteering at the Chicago Botanic Garden and caring for her mother who had Alzheimer's and her aunt who had dementia. Her first book was about the experiences as a caregiver. Mysteries followed. Georgann is a member of the Barrington Writers Workshop.
