Prior to the publication of her acclaimed first novel Edna & Luna in 2016, Gleah Powers led a life by turns grounded and nomadic. Her Phoenix-based grandmother provided a first intermittent refuge against her mother's frequent marriages. By 18, Gleah was fully on her own, traveling with the production of Michelangelo Antonioni's Zabriskie Point, teaching the great filmmaker—and great insomniac—the card game gin rummy while the rest of the crew slept. Thereafter she studied art in Mexico City and Los Angeles; modeled in New York, tended bar, explored the world—and worlds—of adventure she makes unforgettable in Million Dollar Red.
