Dear Author, I took a late-night stroll with my dog and saw a man sitting alone in the middle of the park. That's nothing unusual, except he was sitting on the damp grass and had his face covered in his hands. I didn't mean to approach him - I mean, this is New York and there have been a lot of reports of muggings lately - but I was worried he was hurt. I asked if he was all right, and I swear, when he looked up I thought my heart was going to burst. Why is he crying?
